JCK battled Crohn’s Disease for 10 years before Founding Project Crohn’s in 2022. He is an entreprenuer who has a passion for solving “moon-shot” problems, cultivating creative excellence, curiosity, and intentional, welcoming community. He is a pianist, voracious reader, hiker, writer, and world- traveler.
Lawson is the older brother of JCK, a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, and the CEO of InternScale - the #1 trusted platform to run high-return internships. Lawson lives in NYC with his wife Hannah where they love to cook amazing meals, explore the city, and build start-ups that build a better future.
Hannah studied at Furman University and abroad in Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. She is the Founder of PMAC - an education non-profit based in Greenville, SC. Hannah serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for Project Crohn’s.
Evan is a graduate of Grove City College. He is a CFP who works as a financial advisor, specializing in advising non-profit organizations. Evan has a background in financial journalism and corporate finance. In his free time you will find Evan hiking and exploring our nation’s many National Parks.
Dr. Shin earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of South Florida and serves as Professor of Computer Science and Assistant Dean for Research in the College of Computing and Informatics at UNC Charlotte. Dr. Shin lives in NC with his wife and five children.
Marti received her BSN from Shenandoah University, her MSN from Western Governors University, and is a Medical-Surgical certified nurse. She has worked as a nurse for 10 years; most recently in surgical trauma and surgical oncology. When she’s not at the hospital she enjoys being outside, trying new things, meeting new people and talking about books.
Mason is a graduate of The University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he studied Finance and Accounting Collateral. While at UT studied also at the London School of Economics in England. Mason now serves as Assistant VP, Portfolio Manager II at the Bank of America.
Mary Bains is an alum of the University of Virginia - where she studied Environmental Sciences. Her most recent work was in strategic implementation, people and process management, and organizational management with Surv, a startup based in Rhode Island. Mary is currently working towards a Master's Degree in manufacturing systems engineering.
Hailey Hancock is a graphic designer who graduated from Harding University. She is passionate about using design to spotlight businesses that have a mission to build community and make meanginful, lasting change. Hailey lives in Northern California and enjoys hiking national parks, fitness, and exploring new places.
Caroline has studied economics and public policy in undergrad and graduate school. She currently works for one of the nation's top research and policy nonprofits. Caroline is excited to advise Project Crohn's on issues related to policy, nonprofit marketing, and fundraising.
Andrew de Sa serves as Project Crohn's resident painter, and a mentor for students specifically interested in the arts. Andrew de Sa is a nationally awarded oil painter with a focus on fine art in sacred and residential spaces. He trained in the Boston School tradition under master painter Paul Ingbretson. Andrew and his wife live in Virginia.
Jacob graduated from Baylor University where he studied Biomedical Sciences and Great Texts. At Baylor, Jacob was a McLane Scholar and a Crane Scholar. Jacob is currently an MD Candidate at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Jacob also serves as Resident Poet for Project Crohn's.
Brendan is the Manager of Corporate Communications & Evangelization for Trinity Road. He also is the Founder of Gotta Be Saints, a Gospel-centered multimedia platform. Brendan is excited to use his expertise in Development and Marketing to aid Project Crohn's. He and his wife, Meredith, live in Charlotte, NC.
Ed graduated from Johns Hopkins with a degree in biology, and, after an intense bout with Crohn's, earned his PhD in Molecular Biology at the City of Hope, did further research at Cal Tech. Ed currently serves as the VP of Analytics at Within3, where he directs a team that develops new tools and algorithms for processing and analyzing data. Ed lives in the Philadelphia area, with 3 children, 2 beagles, 10 chickens, and 1 wife.
Logan is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in general surgery. He completed his physician assistant training at Wingate University and subsequently a fellowship in emergency medicine. He loves to garden with his wife, take his daughter on bike rides on local greenways, fly fish, and mountain bike.
Chesterton Cobb majored in Economics and Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies at Grove City College. Chesterton traveled the world and lived in India for two years before starting the Sinclair House in Virginia - where he lives with his wife Zoe, and their three boys.
Dan is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. Dan and his wife, Eliza, started Wood & Wave: a community that seeks to cultivate the contemplative soul in remote spaces of natural refuge. In this spirit, Dan is passionate about helping form the culture of Project Crohn's.
Kamron dropped out of college to help build what has since become a multi-million dollar start-up that partners with companies like Grubhub, Klarna, and Canon. Kamron loves the mission of Project Crohn's and is happy to help guide the organization from an operations perspective.
Dr. Ha holds a MD from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business. He advises Project Crohn's not only wth respect to business operations but also from a health and preventive care perspective. He and his wife Adriana live in Austin, TX.
Dr. Ha is a Mayo Clinic trained physician with expertise in rehabilitation medicine and lifestyle medicine. As a college student, one of his early inspirations into medicine occurred while working with the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. He and his wife have 3 children and live in Minnesota where they strive to play outside year-round.
Noah is a writer, investor, and entrepreneur. He has worked on a number of successful startups since graduating from Grove City College. Noah enjoys improving internal data infrastructures, managing startup strategy, running operations, and has recently founded both XL Solutions and Posturre.com.
